How the Alexandrite 755 nm Long Pulse Laser Machine Works

At 755 nm the Alexandrite beam penetrates the skin and is absorbed by the hair follicle. The absorbed energy converts to heat and destroys the follicle, so the hair loses its ability to regenerate — permanent hair removal. The 1064 nm long-pulse YAG wavelength covers the near-infrared absorption band of common skin chromophores: it penetrates deep into the dermis and, with nanosecond-class pulse widths, stimulates collagen restructuring for rejuvenation and vascular treatment.
